Amitabh Bachchan may be taking on the might of the media empire, with “Rann” Ram Gopal Verma’s latest release, but the fifth estate is teeming more with reports on how the lovely Bachchan Bahu lost her cool, when an ex fling (dared?) to show up at the movie’s premiere.

Vivek Oberoi, infamous as Mrs. Bachchan’s ex flame, and…..well, just as Mrs. Bachchan’s ex flame, found himself the object of much wanted attention, by the constant pouts and frowns, Ash venomously directed in his general direction.

Poor Abhishek was visibly confused, as Ash led him from the auditorium (by his hand, no less) and displayed all loss of motor and civic sensibilities. Visibly displeased with the current state of affairs, Ash refused to talk to most of the guests present and was molly coddled by Abhi into exchanging a few pleasantries with the Director himself.

Ramu, on the other hand, was completely nonplussed by Vivek’s presence and had no idea, if he was even present beforehand. RGV’s excellent observational skills are also clearly visible in the movie riddled with mass clichés on the news media, and how it works, earning much unavoidable ire, from some sections of the press.

Vivek, the other side to this dispute was being slightly evasive when questioned if he had been invited to the venue at all. Not surprising considering his latest gate crashing attempt at Shahrukh’s palatial “Mannat”, last week. Media speculation as to whether Mr. Vivek was stalking Mrs. Bachchan remains as of yet unproven, though Vivek would like us to believe otherwise….
