Blue which is supposed to be India’s first official underwater film is a thriller story involving crucial scenes by the lead actors Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar (who plays a fisherman based in the Bahamas) beneath sea water. Lara Dutta plays the character of a glamorous beach babe and is paired opposite to Sanjay Dutt in the movie. Katrina Kaif was initially taken in to do just an item song , but the producers later on extended her role as they felt that an Akshay-Katrina starrer would again prove to be a lucky pairing at the box office. The film is being made on a lavish scale of a 100-150 crores. The producers are leaving no stone unturned to make this movie have an ‘International’ feel, and have roped in many Hollywood top notch technicians, along with the Australian sensational singer Kylie Minogue, who will be seen in two of the most hype about songs of the movie, choreographed by Farah Khan.
